ICAM Technologies Corporation (ICAM) has entered into a Strategic Marketing Agreement with Modig Machine Tool (Modig) from Virserum, Sweden. This agreement provides ICAM access to Modig’s proprietary machine and controller information and other machine related specifications.
The sharing of technical knowledge and other resources allows customers to benefit from the rapid and successful integration of factory tested and proven post-processors and machine simulators for Modig’s full line of machine tools for single CAM or multi-CAM manufacturing environments. Modig’s sales team will also be equipped with ICAM demonstration software that will allow them show all advanced machine features and functions to prospects, virtually, from their laptops.
This agreement also enables customers to benefit from ICAM's 42 years of NC post-processing experience with multi-axis machining applications including path planning, tool-tip programming, coordinate frame transformations, NURBS interpolation and arc fitting of point-to-point data.
Additionally, ICAM’s integrated machine tool simulation solution enables NC programmers to graphically simulate and test programs for collisions easily and automatically during post-processing, before the machine code is implemented within the production environment.

David Modig, President at Modig Machine Tools says, “ICAM’s unique post-processing and simulation products allow our customers to take full advantage our machine’s capabilities. And with ICAM’s Virtual Machine, customers can graphically simulate and test their NC programs during post-processing; thereby, minimizing costly prove-outs on the shop floor.”
“ICAM is strongly committed to the European aerospace market by providing leading-edge post-processing and simulation solutions,” says John Nassr, ICAM’s President. “With ICAM and Modig’s strengthened relationship, customers can take comfort in knowing that they will have easier access to Modig’s highly productive and accurate machines in single or multi-CAM environments.”
