CCE Enhances Capabilities of Unified Interop Libraries

CCE announced the immediate availability of its updated Unified Interop (UIOp) libraries.

The UIOp libraries were revised to support attributes that represent entity names in the native CAD system along with instance path. Persistent identifiers are now supported in Creo, NX and CATIA V6 translators. CATIA V5 and SOLIDWORKS persistent identifiers have been enhanced to provide unique identifiers for every instance in the assembly.

"We've increased the speed of translation and support persistent id's across more CAD platforms," said Vinay Wagle, CCE's V.P. of Sales and Marketing. "Our newest UIOp release includes customer requested enhancements to process points, store component level attributes and more."

UIOp's CATIA V5 translator now allows grouping of translated entities into respective geometric sets (PartBody, Geometric sets, Ordered Geometric sets) providing applications the ability to display the model tree as it appears in the native CAD system. Support for publications has been improved by providing access to published vertices and edge wires.

"CCE's UIOp libraries enable ISV's to implement MultiCAD translators in their Parasolid based software in the fastest time possible using a single API," said Wagle.

The SolidWorks translator in UIOp has been enhanced to support a new attribute specifying configuration name attached to Parasolid instance in an assembly. The Solid Edge translator now supports processing of assembly level entities.

A new translation filter is now available to process points. Also an XML file can now be created in addition to the output Parasolid file, to store component level attributes like Units and User Defined parameters.
