UK Preview of VISI 21 at Interplas

Major enhancements in the forthcoming new release of VISI, from Vero Software, will be on display in the UK for the first time at the Interplas Exhibition.

To be fully released at the end of October, VISI 21 includes completely new machining strategies for 2, 2.5 and 3-axis environments. In addition, a new toolpath simulation manages the ISO output, providing users with an enhanced and accurate virtual representation of the part, before committing it to the machine.

On show at stand A6 in Hall 4 at the NEC in Birmingham, from September 30 to October 2, VISI 21 also introduces new “hybrid” milling strategies which will adapt different types of finishing toolpaths to match the component geometric form.

Updated CAD developments include new technology for managing multiple instances of the same geometry. For example, multi insert moulds and dies can now be managed simply with a single reference part which will update all subsequent updates of the same geometry if the part is modified. The forthcoming release also includes enhanced kinematic simulation tools for previewing the real movement of tooling – ideal when validating the tool design and checking for collisions with slides, cams and lifters.

General Manager Richard Youhill says VISI’s integration of CAD and CAM into a single application, provides best-in-class technology in one simple to use interface.

Part of the Vero Software Group, VISI is a leading CAD/CAM solution for the mould and die industries, providing productivity, reliability and flexibility. Vero has direct offices in the UK, Italy, France, Japan, USA, Brazil, Netherlands, South Korea and China, while supplying products to more than 45 countries through its wholly owned subsidiaries and reseller network.

Vero Software is now part of Hexagon AB and a division of Hexagon Metrology, a leading global provider of design, measurement and visualisation technologies.
