Blueprint today announced the release of Blueprint 6.2. With Version 6.2, Blueprint introduces new features along with security and significant performance improvements for enhancing user productivity and customer success. Two key additions are a new “Accelerator”, and the introduction of a Global Search capability.
Blueprint’s modern, innovative requirements technology continues to set the company apart and provide clients tools they can leverage for competitive advantage.
Blueprint 6.2 helps projects accelerate and drive improvements in overall quality through the introduction of a new Nonfunctional Requirements Accelerator. Nonfunctional requirements have always been a huge challenge in enterprise projects, and even more-so as enterprises continue a shift toward enterprise-agile and bi-model project portfolios. Blueprint’s Nonfunctional Requirements Accelerator is based on industry-leading work by Roxanne Miller as described in her text “The Quest for Better Requirements.”
This Accelerator offers significant benefits for IT project teams and stakeholders, including:
Reusing Content – Jump start your projects by reusing from a library of hundreds of validated elicitation questions across fourteen non-functional categories spanning Operation, Revision, and Transition of Business Applications.
Standardizing Processes – The Accelerator pre-configures a Blueprint instance with artifact types, properties, mappings, tool-tips and other configuration settings to improve and regulate practices. The Accelerator also provides guidance on how to identify and characterize stakeholders, prepare for elicitation including the ‘Reuse’ of elicitation questions, record answers, and specify non-functional requirements that trace back to original sources.
Blueprint 6.2 also introduces Global Search to instantly locate content within a project or across projects. In addition, this new search projects deep into the Blueprint dataset, to the sub-artifact level. Not only is Global Search provided as a rapid search capability, but is also available as part of Blueprint’s Advanced Search where it becomes extremely precise when combined with other search criteria.
Blueprint 6.2 will be available June 25th, 2015.
