Trimble announced today a new version of Trimble Business Center software. Version 3.60 provides editing and quality control options for surveyors and GIS professionals, making them more efficient when working with GIS databases. The improved CAD and drafting tools allow CAD professionals to create final project deliverables within Trimble Business Center.
The announcement was made today at INTERGEO 2015, the world's largest conference on geodesy, geoinformatics and land management.
"Generating high-quality deliverables quickly is a key differentiator for survey and GIS professionals," said Alain Samaha , business area director of GIS and Software for Trimble's Geospatial Division. "Our latest office software release improves the efficiency in delivering results for GIS and CAD projects, integrates tightly with other key enterprise software packages and offers a single source for deliverable creation."
Trimble Business Center version 3.60 increases productivity for surveyors and equips them with the tools to generate highly precise and accurate data. The software also offers the ability to post process individual GNSS constellations providing greater flexibility to conform to regional requirements. New coordinate transformation and network adjustment tools provide multiple calculations to generate precise results. The expanded range of capabilities creates a complete and robust software package that can deliver costs savings and be used as an alternative to additional software.
Trimble Business Center version 3.60 provides enhanced compatibility with other CAD packages while also enabling surveyors to produce a wider range of client deliverables. CAD operations are now faster and more intuitive with new dynamic visual snapping tools and gripping features. Enhanced plotting and labeling capabilities allow customers to create CAD-ready deliverables more efficiently, all within the familiar Trimble Business Center environment.
In addition, an optional Advanced Drafting module is available. The specialized module adds highly customizable templates and simplified selection tools, which are designed to reduce the time required to generate high-quality deliverables, such as geospatial maps, corridor profiles and cross-sections. Professionals working on road, pipeline and railway projects can achieve significant efficiency gains through the software's new automated profile and cross-section plotting functionality.
A new optional GIS module allows surveyors to directly integrate with Esri ArcGIS, streamlining the workflow for collecting GIS-compliant data. Surveyors will benefit from greater efficiency and reduced complexity resulting in improved, on-time delivery of GIS projects—bridging the gap between GIS professionals and surveyors.
