Sixty Formula SAE Teams Join the CFdesign Premier Sponsorship Program

Blue Ridge Numerics announced over the past three months 60 Formula SAE teams have signed-up to take advantage of the new CFdesign Premier Sponsorship Program. The program gives team members access to a commercial license of CFdesign, full technical support and discounted training in exchange for normal sponsorship acknowledgments.

“With CFdesign there’s no need to export CAD geometry and meshing is fully automated, students can focus on how to optimize their designs instead of how to use the software,” said Maureen Kennedy, Marketing Academic Program Leader at Blue Ridge Numerics. “Time is a huge factor for every team; CFdesign helps them quickly get the answers they need so they can focus on fabrication.”

Blue Ridge Numerics is committed to empowering engineering students with CAD-driven tools that optimize flow and thermal performance. The design expectation of FSAE competition judges increases each year. CFdesign will help Formula SAE teams accelerate innovation in their quest to take home the SAE Foundation Cup.

“Using CFD is essential to the development of a competitive Formula SAE racecar in this ever more demanding competition,” said Brandon Bordner, FSAE Team Representative at Ohio State University. “From engine intake analysis to cooling system design, CFdesign will be vital to our success next season.”
