VISTAGY CEO Steve Luby Will Present “Realizing the Full Potential of Composites Across Industries” at the CompositesWorld Expo Next Week

Steve Luby, founder, president and CEO of VISTAGY, Inc., will present a talk entitled “Realizing the Full Potential of Composites Across Industries” at CompositesWorld Expo 2009 in Schaumburg, Illinois on Monday, September 28 at 8:30 AM.

Mr. Luby founded VISTAGY in 1991 and has helped pioneer the efficient use of composites in a variety of industries, including aerospace, high performance automotive, marine and wind energy.

Composite materials provide all kinds of potential benefits, but there’s a higher degree of complexity in working with composites than with more traditional materials, such as metal. So it is critical to have the right tools and methodologies if you expect to maximize the value of composites. For instance, they can be used to enhance performance; reduce weight, part counts and assembly costs, and improve durability by virtue of being fatigue and corrosion-resistant. The irony is that when manufacturers achieve great efficiency with composites, they actually end up using less of them.
