Fishbowl Solutions® Announces Support for SolidWorks® and Autodesk® AutoCAD® with their Bulk Loading Application for Windchill PDMLink®

Fishbowl Solutions announces support for SolidWorks and AutoCAD files with their linkLoader for Windchill PDMLink® solution.

linkLoader is a data loading tool that saves time by providing a fast and efficient means of importing large amounts of CAD data into Windchill PDMLink. With enterprise solution support for both SolidWorks and AutoCAD, along with PTC® Pro/ENGINEER® and Autodesk Inventor®, customers can now streamline their data migration process while accurately mapping metadata.

linkLoader for Pro/ENGINEER, Inventor, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks locates duplicate files and instances, validates data prior to loading, and verifies family tables for Pro/ENGINEER data. linkLoader then sequences objects to be loaded in the correct order based on their hierarchical relationships, transfers the data from a file system into PDMLink, and maps defined metadata as soft attributes within Windchill PDMLink.

“Many of our customers have CAD data in a variety of file formats. When implementing Windchill PDMLink, they find that using linkLoader allows them to speed up their migration process. As a result, customers can soon start to realize their Return on Investment as well as move forward with other initiatives involving Windchill PDMLink,” said Rick Passolt, Business Development Manager at Fishbowl Solutions.
