Localized Versions of Vectorworks 2010 Now Available in European Markets

Nemetschek North America announced that a number of its major European distributors have released their localized 2010 versions of Vectorworks® software, including: Designer, Architect, Landmark, Spotlight, Machine Design, Fundamentals, and Renderworks. Versions are now available in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands.

"Our localized version is developed by Nemetschek North America, and then enhanced by us to meet the local requirements in our country," explains Carlos Lüthy, CEO of ComputerWorks GmbH, Germany. "This year there has been much excitement and anticipation about the Vectorworks 2010 line of products, as this version is already getting rave reviews in the English-speaking countries."

The English-language versions of the Vectorworks 2010 product line were released in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, New Zealand, and other international markets on September 15, 2009.

"Making Change Easy" is the theme for the Vectorworks 2010 product line. Building upon the integration of the Parasolid® 3D modeling core in 2009, version 2010 is making change easy with the addition of bi-directional associativity features and 3D modeling environment. These capabilities ensure that changes are intelligently reflected throughout the entire design which is a cornerstone for information modeling workflows in the building industry and beyond.

"Demand for more efficient design and construction over the past several years has led many professionals to evaluate making a change in their technologies and workflows to incorporate intelligent modeling software," states Sean Flaherty, CEO of Nemetschek North America. "Many small- and medium-sized firms find the transition to information modeling workflows difficult, as technologies are hard to learn and complicated to use. The additions to Vectorworks 2010 are going to help remove these barriers and make the change for designers easy."
