Business up by 24% at Lantek for Q1 2013

Lantek has built on its UK growth in 2012 with a further increase of 24% in sales for the first quarter of 2013. Rob Powell Managing Director of Lantek UK says, “The sheet metal manufacturing industry is experiencing a big resurgence across the country which has resulted in a major boost to our business.”

As well as selling directly, Lantek works with a range of partners that supply and recommend its Lantek Expert CAD/CAM software. For customers, the productivity which it can bring in automated programming and more efficient dynamic nesting can significantly shorten lead times and greatly reduce material wastage. Additionally, Lantek’s engineers have the knowledge and skill to fully appreciate the interface between the CAD/CAM software, the machine, and the machine’s control system. Rob Powell adds, “To service the growth in business and to maintain high quality after sales support, we have just appointed a new technician. He has significant experience both in the CAD/CAM industry and in CNC sheet metal machinery, giving him the ideal background for resolving customers’ questions and ensuring that they achieve maximum benefit from their investment in machinery and software.”

As well as Lantek Expert CAD/CAM software, the company offers a range of complete solutions for the sheet metal and structural steel industry. These range from Lantek Flex3d which links to leading CAD systems and makes it possible to generate a flat blank with one mouse click, to its full Lantek Integra package which manages the complete manufacturing process.

With Lantek Integra, customers can manage orders and customer relationships, purchasing and stock control, and banking. With Lantek Wos and Lantek Manager companies can control production and delivery dates and keep track of manufacturing processes in real time. Where there is an existing ERP system Lantek Integra will integrate with it to provide a dedicated and tailored solution for sheet metal and structural steel applications. Rob Powell says, “We have very powerful software solutions and highly skilled engineers. The sole aim of our team is to enable our customers to maximize the productivity of their machines, manufacturing, and administrative processes to give them a significant competitive advantage.”
