think3 is a global provider of integrated product development solutions  delivering mechanical design and collaborative product development management software and solution services. The Software Components that are offered can be summarized in the following areas:

• 2D Drafting and 3D Solid Modeling;

The think3 Integrated Application Suite includes:

ThinkDesign

ThinkDesign Styling enables designers to use surface modeling and solid modeling to shape and give form to their ideas.

ThinkDesign Engineering is used by designers to define mechanical assemblies, break assemblies down into component lists, assess the overall dimensions of components and assemblies. check the feasibility of a shape sketched and drawn by the designer or drafted using a special function. It helps enable continuous communications between the styling, engineering and tooling departments.

ThinkDesign Tooling and Compensator is used to treat legacy large size data, heal the data, introduce changes needed for the stamping phase and modify tooling.

Thinkteam

thinkteam manages data for products undergoing constant changes or occasional customizations and is available in three different versions:

• thinkteam document management. Allows the user to create and manage documents of any kind through classical document management functionalities, like vault management, check-in/checkout, access control, document trees, etc.
• thinkteam PDM. Includes all the functionalities of thinkteam document management and allows users to create and manage Bill of Material, adding functionalities such as BOM creation, BOM effectivity management, BOM compare, etc
• thinkteam development tools. Includes the tools required to configure graphical workflows, access control rules, database schema and a user interface to tailor thinkteam and other optional thinkPLM applications to customer requirements.

thinkconfigure - ties together ThinkDesign and thinkteam, automating the engineering and design processes for customized and configurable products.

thinkchange - has ECR/ECO management capabilities to track all product changes from creation to completion, alerting all concerned parties by email at each step of the change process.

thinkproject for MS Project - provides tools to track deliverables progress and gather actual work time within thinkPLM.

thinkmaintain  - consists of Maintenance Management applications allowing the creation of As Built configurations for a product.

thinkprint - is a tool for the centralized and automated management of print and plotting processes.

ThinkDesign Viewer - design viewing and marking solution.

Webteam - provides web-based access for sharing thinkteam information over the Internet or within Extranets and Intranets.

Think3 Inc. and Beijing Extech Science and Technology Co Ltd, a Chinese PLM software vendor, have announced the creation of a joint venture called EXTECH. The new company will combine think3’s current solution offering with EXTECH’s portfolio of products.
