Integrating PLM into the Product Lifecycle

The PLM Enterprise Value & Integration Knowledge Council (PEV&I Council) gathers and benchmarks best practices for integrating data, processes, tools, and people across all business domains that have an impact on a company’s products. This industry-wide effort focuses on the cross-domain collaboration necessary to integrate specialties to avoid fragmented product realization efforts. The council identifies and prioritizes requirements and capabilities for PLM integration strategies, best practices, and enabling solutions. PEV&I Council sponsors include both industrial companies and PLM solution providers. Two levels of membership are available: Enterprise and Individual.

Research Topics Include:

  • Progress made and critical priorities for PLM Enterprise Value & Integration
  • PEV&I framework capabilities 
  • High-level requirements for desktop and enterprise application integration with PLM solutions

  • Enterprise Members
    • Two primary contacts receive all PEV&I Council deliverables.
    • Four secondary contacts.
    • Redistribution rights within the company to archived reports from past CIMdata PLM Knowledge Council research.
    • A one-hour web conference with CIMdata consultants to cover specific ongoing issues critical to the member company.
    • Access to executive summaries from all PLM Knowledge Councils.
    • Each primary contact has telephone and e-mail inquiry privileges to the PEV&I Council’s Practice Lead.

    • Named contacts have web access to reports issued by other CIMdata programs, where they are of direct interest to PEV&I Council members.

  • Individual Members
    • One primary contact receives all PEV&I Council deliverables.
    • Redistribution rights within the member’s company to archived reports from past CIMdata PLM Knowledge Council research.
    • Telephone and e-mail inquiry privileges to the PEV&I Council’s Practice Lead.
    • Web access to reports issued by other CIMdata programs, where they are of direct interest to PEV&I Council members.
    • Access to executive summaries from all PLM Knowledge Councils.
    • One registration to CIMdata-organized seminars, regional briefings, and teleconferences on topics of interest to PEV&I Council members.
    • One registration to the PLM Road Map Conference™.
