This summer heat has me thinking of all the unprecedented heat waves, fires in the West, and massive flooding in Yellow Stone National Park, sparking more environmental discussions. I wonder what major disaster organizations have to encounter to begin thinking of Data Governance.

Usually it takes some major new product introduction, an inspection gone awry, a digital transformation initiative, new people coming in to the organization trying to figure out the data definitions and data owners. No matter what the reason, Data Governance is a cornerstone that needs to have a solid foundation!
