David Hinz, Global Director, Cloud and Data Center Operations, HGST, a Western Digital company

David Hinz is Global Director, Cloud and Data Center Operations for HGST, a Western Digital company. In this role David drives programs and initiatives to meet HGST’s growing Cloud, HPC, and Data Center computing needs. David has responsibility for both on-premise and cloud based computing solutions, allowing a holistic strategy to be developed and completed. Prior to HGST, David led Product Management at CyDesign Labs, a startup to create a cloud based physics-model-based design platform for requirements validation and verification. Prior to joining the Silicon Valley start-up community, David held executive leadership positions at Intel, including Director, Product Management and Product Marketing for Intel’s SOA and Web Services Suite and Chief of Staff to Intel’s Senior Vice President for software. David was also a founding member and past Executive Vice President of the Enterprise Grid Alliance.
