Paul Carlson, Senior Director, Project PROPEL, EMC Corporation

Paul Carlson is a member of the leadership team for EMC’s Business Transformation Project known as Project PROPEL. Paul’s responsibilities have included ownership of the key SAP Master Data areas (Material, Customer, and Vendor), rollout of SAP PLM and Product & REACH Compliance as part of the first transformation project that went live in 2012. He is now leading the effort to rollout SAP’s Solution Sales Configurator (SSC) as the core Sales Configurator for EMC’s Product Portfolio.

Paul is a 32 year industry veteran whose prior experience includes positions at 3Com, Simplex Time Recorder, and Raytheon. He started as a Hard Ware Design Engineer in Raytheon’s Missile System Division, and then held business operations roles at Simplex Time Recorder and 3Com. Paul joined EMC in April of 2000 and has held a variety of PLM, EDA, and Business Operations Management roles before joining Project PROPEL.
