Olivier Sappin has been working at Dassault Systèmes (DS) since 1995.
After finishing his master’s degree in mechanical engineering, he started as an application engineer for shape design and styling solutions in DS´s CATIA Industrialization Unit, working with customers like Honda, Fiat, BMW, Chrysler, and PSA.
In 1998, he joined DS´ international Automotive Competency Center which at that time revolutionized Vehicle Development Practices. After two years there, he assumed the leadership of the “Styling & Body” team, which helps Car and Truck OEMs and Suppliers to achieve a 30% reduction in time-to-market.
In January 2003, he became responsible for the Global Automotive Solutions unit, being in charge of unifying solution development activities of four DS brands an working with 17 of the world´s leading Automotive OEMs.
In July 2011, he was appointed Vice President of the newly defined “Transportation & Mobility Industry” at DS, which is focused on delivering Industry Solution Experiences for vehicle manufacturers (Cars, Trucks, Buses, Trains, Motorcycle, Racing) and suppliers to help them develop new mobility experiences for their consumers.
