Michael K Williams, PLM Project Manager, Dow Advanced Materials Division, The Dow Chemical Company, Retired
Until his retirement, Mike Williams was the PLM Project Manager in the Advanced Materials Division at The Dow Chemical Company (Dow). In that role, Mike was responsible for representing the client base for the Advanced Materials Division, a global portfolio of market facing businesses. The diversity of these businesses covered chemical process technologies, from large scale continuous to small scale batch, and discrete.
In his over 40-year career with Dow, Mike’s responsibilities spanned numerous leadership roles in research, manufacturing, and engineering. He also participated in several due diligence teams supporting mergers, acquisitions, and divestures including the acquisition of Rohm and Haas in 2008. Before his retirement, Mike’s efforts were concentrated on driving out value from new product implementation through strategic capital investments supporting the manufacturing operations management (MES) and product lifecycle management (PLM) solution space.
Mike began his Dow career in 1975 in Midland, Michigan after obtaining a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
