Neil J Fleming, IM&T Solution Design Manager, BAE Systems Maritime Submarines

After graduating in Electrical and Electronic engineering from Paisley College of Technology, Neil joined Vickers Shipbuilding & Engineering Ltd (now part of BAE Systems) where he carried out combat systems design and integration testing. He then moved to the Surface Ships department, where he set up and managed a Novell Netware PC/Mac network for tendering purposes. After transferring to the Programme Management Office for a surface ship program he became involved in a business change programme. This led to a move to the Engineering CAD Department. In 2010, Neil led a PLM toolset selection project, supported by CIMdata and became part of the management team responsible for implementing PLM in a major submarine programme. That work is due to complete at the end of 2016.
