DESCRIPTION:\n	Who Should Attend? Location &nbsp\;Cost to Attend\n\n\n	Thos
e planning to attend PLM Road Map + the Systems Engineering Workshop shoul
d register here to take advantage of our bundled pricing.\n\n\n	PLM Road M
ap&trade\; 2015 for the High Tech Electronics (HTE) community is the must-
attend event for HTE industry executives and PLM practitioners globally&md
ash\;providing independent education and a collaborative networking enviro
nment where ideas\, trends\, experiences\, and relationships critical to t
he high tech industry germinate and take root.&nbsp\;The theme for this ev
ent is &ldquo\;Innovating in a Nanosecond World: How PLM Makes Innovation
and Collaboration for the HTE Industry Repeatable\, Sustainable\, and Scal
able.&rdquo\;\n\n\n	The high tech industry is cyclical in nature\, with ex
tremely short development cycles\, and has complex integrated and collabor
ative supply chain models. Additionally\, high tech companies tend to have
multiple technical disciplines and tools. Regulation and compliance issue
s play&nbsp\;an increasing role with complex restrictions that must be eff
iciently and accurately addressed. This industry-focused PLM Road Map even
t will explore these challenges and others including:&nbsp\;the causes for
frequent&nbsp\;design delays and sub-par product innovation that result&n
bsp\;when innovation must accelerate in this increasingly complex environm
ent\; and how PLM can and should play a key role in enabling innovation.\n
\n\n	Product development today is a set of discrete processes and deliveri
es around specifications and intellectual property (IP) exchange. Design r
eviews and delivery schedules drive IP development and exchange. Some indu
stries are moving towards a more continuous model\, with more synchronous
collaboration and\, in the case of software\, continuous product delivery.
Presentations will cover topics relevant to innovation\, time-to-market\,
and the circular economy by touching on the following themes:\n\n\n	Topic
s to be discussed at PLM Road Map for the HTE Community\n\n\n	\n \n The
evolution and expansion of collaboration to co-development across the val
ue chain\, from ideation to retirement. High tech companies have led the w
ay with collaboration\, but many struggle with issues of IP protection\, s
ecurity\, and shared information management.\n \n Many high tech compan
ies are on either first- or second-generation PLM implementations that the
y have largely failed to optimize or fully leverage.\n \n Many high tec
h companies are dealing with spin-offs and divestitures and need to plan h
ow to manage the division of intellectual assets and enterprise systems.\n
\n The products themselves are changing. More industries are looking t
o deliver products as services\, changing the economics\, business models\
 , and lifecycle planning for new offerings.\n \n Within high-tech PLM e
nabling technologies supporting innovation and product development are dis
parate even within a single enterprise\, lacking integrations\, best pract
ices\, and consistency.\n \n Continually changing regulations and a gen
eration of products that need renewed certifications are driving an ongoin
g evolution of compliance reporting needs.\n \n The Internet of Things\
, extending to more and more devices\, is revolutionizing the need to enab
le and manage new data sets around use and service information.\n	\n\n
