Dennys Gomes, Senior Director, Head of Component Design Excellence, Vestas Power Solutions

Dennys Gomes is a seasoned professional with a consistent history of achievements. His expertise spans from hands-on design to high-level management, with a proven ability to lead teams and projects from concept to completion. He is highly skilled in communication, cross-functional work, and cross-cultural leadership, with a strong focus on achieving synergy and delivering on commitments with quality and punctuality. Throughout his career, Dennys has focused on driving continuous improvement through the use of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and implementing a closed-loop quality feedback system.

At Vestas, Dennys currently serves as the Senior Director of Engineering Development and Interface Management & PLM Strategist. In this role, he is responsible for setting the strategy for PLM innovation and engineering tools, as well as ensuring the quality and automation of wind turbine models and components. He also leads feasibility studies and conceptual work for new and existing projects, guiding design teams in Vestas' global centers.

His earlier experience includes a key role at SE Blades Technology (Suzlon), where he was responsible for the complete implementation of CATIA V6 and ENOVIA V6, and at Volvo 3P, where he served as a Front Office Electrical Packaging and Installation lead and a Team Leader. In these roles, he was a key point of contact for cross-functional projects, ensuring on-time delivery and maintaining quality through virtual analysis and documentation.

Dennys holds an MSc in Automotive Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, where his master's thesis focused on the design and development of a hybrid electric scale model car. He also completed a master's course on Hybrid Vehicles through a joint program with Swedish technical universities and the automotive industry.
