As a global leader in minerals and metals processing, Outotec has a uniquely broad offering of solutions. Since 2010, Outotec has been working towards global process harmonization and a complete PLM integration across their broad portfolio.
This year, a very important milestone of Outotec’s PLM journey was on the roadmap: the PLM deployment of one of the largest and most profitable product lines. This was no simple PLM deployment: for the past decade, a different PLM process and system in place and the collaboration process was ineffective.
Outotec management teams were concerned that the standard approaches to PLM deployment would be inadequate. Traditional classroom training was not an option, as it required too much time away from work. Blended learning, a combination of both online and traditional classroom methods was chosen.
