Chris Hinds, Head of Enterprise Architecture, Rolls-Royce PLC
Chris Hinds is the Head of Enterprise Architecture at Rolls-Royce PLC. He joined the company straight from university having studied Manufacturing Engineering & Management. He began working in manufacturing and first worked with PLM looking at collaborative design techniques for commodities. Subsequently, he spent five years implementing PLM-centric Manufacturing Execution systems across Assembly and Manufacturing. He joined Group IT in 2017 as a Solution Architect and undertook several roles in Manufacturing, Assembly, and Engineering. He became Enterprise Architect for Engineering in 2020 and took the Head of Enterprise Architect responsibility in September 2021. Since then he’s also had a wider remit looking at the overall Application Strategy for the company. For the last 12 months he has led the Digital & IT strategy for the group architecturally.
