Dr Ola Isaksson, Professor, Product Development & Systems Engineering Design Research Group Leader, Chalmers University
Dr Ola Isaksson is professor in Product Development and the leader of the Systems Engineering Design research group at Chalmers University in Sweden. He has a Ph.D. in Computer-Aided Design from Luleå University of Technology, and until 2015 he worked at GKN Aerospace Engine Systems (former Volvo Aero) in Engineering Design and Product Development. He has participated in numerous research projects and is interested in engineering design support systems for product development. Specific interests are: Platform Based Development, Set Based Engineering, Multidisciplinary Engineering, Value Driven Design, engineering automation, knowledge enabled decision support, and the development of product-service systems.
Dr. Isaksson is one founders of the Swedish Product Development Academy and is an active member in Design Society as well as ASME and SIG PM. He has authored over 100 scientific publications and collaborates tightly with industry both nationally and internationally, with a focus on the aerospace and transport oriented manufacturing industry.
