Eric Landel is the Expert Leader for numerical modeling and simulation at Renault. This includes CAE, system modeling, and support for decision making. He is also responsible for the R&AE plan for new methods and tools. He joined Renault in 2000, in the NVH department, where he was responsible for the acoustic performance of Renault’s vehicles. Prior to joining Renault, he was Principal Engineer for R&D at a scientific engineering company and later the Technical Director. During this period of time he performed numerous works for original modeling in acoustics, hydrodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
Eric was awarded a diploma by the Ecole Central of Nantes. His thesis was on naval hydrodynamics. In addition to his work at Renault, he is also president of the Community of Experts for simulation, testing and virtual reality at the Société des Ingénieurs de l'Automobile (SIA).
