Brandon Sapp, Engineering Technical Specialist - Data Standards, The Boeing Company

Brandon Sapp has more than 22 years of experience in engineering. He started his career at Boeing in the Propulsion Division as a Technical Designer working to improve the drawing and model creation process. After 5 years Brandon left Boeing to join INCAT (now Tata Technologies) as a PLM Consultant enabling implementation at large OEMS and various supplier sites. Brandon rejoined Boeing in 2007 to support the 787 implementations of the Dassault V5 suite and model-based definition through the supply chain. Brandon led the Design Methods team through the implementation of Model-Based Definition throughout Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

Currently, Brandon is leading the way for Boeing’s strategy on the use of data standards and interoperability across the enterprise. Brandon is a member of the US TAG to ISO TC 184/SC4 and the newly formed ASME MBE committee. He leads working groups at AIA’s Business Technology and Interoperability Committee and the A&D PLM Action Group on Model-Based Definition. He is also the Deputy Chair of the Technical Advisory Committee and Co-Chair of the CAx-IF User Group at PDES, Inc.

Brandon has a Bachelor’s of Science in Information Technology and a Master's in Information Systems.
