Gabriel Vargas graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo, Mexico. Gabriel started his career as a Technology Manager at a major automotive company. In 1992, Gabriel joined mabe, where he has worked for over 30 years. During this time, Gabriel has served in several roles. As Technology Manager, he led the introduction of new products in North American and Latam markets. As Program Manager, he was responsible for new product development, including start-of-production and ramp-up in mabe’s facilities throughout Mexico, Canada, Colombia, and Brazil.
In 2015, Gabriel introduced the concept of modularity to reduce complexity through Modular Architectures. By doing this, Gabriel saw an opportunity for digitalization to leverage the benefits of their modular product platforms, which he has been driving.
Maria Elena “Mary” Mata Lopez graduated from the University Institute of Technology in Grenoble, France. Mary joined mabe in 2008, starting as a drafter. Mary quickly advanced through positions as a design engineer, top-down design leader, and modular architecture leader to her current role as Technical Information & Modular Architecture Leader. In parallel with her work, Mary earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Guanajuato, Mexico, 2016-2021.
