Tecnomatix Expands Machining Process Planning and Simulation Capabilities Through Strategic Alliance With EXAPT

Tecnomatix Technologies Ltd. ( http://www.tecnomatix.com ) announced it has entered into an agreement with EXAPT, a leading German CAD/CAM provider, to offer a scalable, integrated NC (numeric control) verification solution for manufacturers of various levels of need, from low-end tool-path simulation up to high-end, total workspace simulation based on post-processed, machine-specific programming.

As part of the agreement, Tecnomatix will gain access to additional sales channels and to the EXAPT customer base. EXAPT will be able to offer its customers significantly enhanced process chain capabilities. EXAPT will become a reseller and integrator of the eM-RealNC offering, part of the eMPowerT suite of MPM products and solutions.

"The data integration between our CAM solutions and eM-RealNC minimizes the effort required by our customers to prepare and perform NC verification and NC optimization studies," said Dr. Richter, chief executive officer, EXAPT.

"EXAPT products offer a wide range of innovative and cost-effective solutions for NC planning and production data organization, and its vendor-neutral approach fits perfectly with our open platform for MPM solutions," said Jaron Lotan, president and chief executive officer, Tecnomatix Technologies. "This strategic alliance will benefit both Tecnomatix and EXAPT customers, and help our companies more effectively reach new customers as well."

EXAPT's continually expanding range of products and services support the development, introduction, installation and after-sales support of EXAPT-CAD/CAM systems, ensuring the necessary continuity in product development and marketing. EXAPT is a registered trademark of EXAPT Systemtechnik GmbH. For more information, visit http://www.exapt.de
