Aras Corporation Names Terry Quan As Vice President of Consulting Services
Aras Corporation ( http://www.aras.com ) announced the appointment of Terry Quan as Vice President of Consulting Services. Quan brings 25 years experience in engineering configuration management practices and enterprise software deployment to Aras. He is certified in the Configuration Management II (CMII) principles and was previously an instructor for the Institute for Configuration Management (ICM).
Quan was most recently President of the Configuration Management Group (CMG), a consulting firm specializing in configuration management and related enabling technologies for clients in a variety of industries including aerospace, defense, communications, electronics, and industrial equipment. He has led enterprise-wide implementations of both PLM and ERP systems for customers such as Allied-Signal, GTE, Schneider Electric, Tellabs, and Varian Semiconductor with specific expertise in product structured configuration, business process definition, engineering change control, and traceability. Quan will be instrumental in further embedding the CMII principles for configuration management and change control into the Aras products and services.
Prior to CMG, Quan was an instructor for the ICM. Previously, he was a manager for the Arizona Public Service Company with roles including configuration management manager, information technology manager, prudency audit manager, and engineering supervisor.
Quan holds a master's degree in business administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering, both from Arizona State University.
