GN Netcom Standardizes on Agile for Product Lifecycle Management
Agile Software Corporation ( http://www.agile.com ) announced that GN Netcom, a global supplier of hands-free communication technologies, has successfully implemented the Agile PLM solution to manage and support the complete lifecycles of their products, from design to end of life. Agile now serves as the company's central product management system, replacing a previous environment, which involved seven disparate legacy applications. The Agile system has been rolled out to GN Netcom's headquarters in Ballerup, Denmark, as well as facilities in Nashua, New Hampshire, and Xiamen, China.
GN Netcom designs and manufactures hands-free solutions, including Jabra brand headsets for mobile phones. The company has earned a number of accolades, including the iF Design Award 2004, and the prestigious "G-Mark" good design award. Against the backdrop of global competition, time-to-market pressures, and distributed product development teams, GN Netcom looked to Agile as a technology partner who could address their challenges today, while providing a PLM infrastructure with unlimited scalability for future challenges, such as product failure tracking and CAPA processes, program management, and compliance with environmental regulation.

GN Netcom's business involves several, concurrent cycles of new product introductions. With a broad product portfolio, it can be difficult to communicate changes during the initial design phase. By implementing Agile Product Collaboration, GN Netcom has eliminated many error-prone processes-including manual dissemination of design changes-which will improve inter-company collaboration and help teams stay updated and on-schedule.
