HNTB Joins Bentley Enterprise License Subscription Program

Bentley Systems, Incorporated ( http://www.bentley.com ) announced that infrastructure engineering, architecture, and design firm HNTB has joined Bentley's Enterprise License Subscription (ELS) program.

The Bentley ELS program grants organizations unlimited access to the company's entire software portfolio for a fixed annual fee. The portfolio covers all the AEC software needs of subscribers, providing building, plant, civil, and geospatial solutions and supporting a managed environment for their AEC IT.

"With this agreement, HNTB has stepped into the forefront of transportation technology. We now have full access to all Bentley products and the ability to share technology and content with departments of transportation, an emerging trend among state departments of transportation," said Dan Wolgemuth, HNTB chief information officer.

"HNTB is an early adopter of any innovative technology or licensing that benefit our clients, and the ELS clearly benefits our clients," he said.

The total coverage at a fixed, discounted price means that organizations can increase their software productivity and reduce their total AEC software costs simultaneously. The unlimited access streamlines AEC software administration while the annual term simplifies budgeting and accounting.

Immediately, the Bentley ELS will give HNTB a way to create a managed environment connecting its 60 design and project offices nationwide. This managed environment will be built on Bentley ProjectWise, the collaboration server within the Bentley portfolio.

A managed environment allows valuable AEC information to be confidently shared, synchronized, and secured. Legacy data can be leveraged throughout an asset's life cycle and on future projects. Fast-track projects can be managed better by ensuring that project teams can work on separate project components in parallel.

Besides implementing ProjectWise throughout the organization, HNTB will also extend its deployment of Bentley's plot management server for network plotting, digital sharing, and digital archiving of AEC plot sets.

Serving its clients for 90 years, HNTB Corporation is a national infrastructure firm with more than 2,700 architecture, engineering, planning, and construction management personnel. The firm provides multidisciplinary services to clients in the United States and abroad.
