DP Technology Announces Availability of Pre-packaged CAM Software Solution for Programming New Class of Machine Tools

DP Technology announced the availability of ESPRIT as a pre-packaged CAM software solution for programming the new generation of machine tools with multitasking capability. ESPRIT is ready out of the box to begin cutting parts on multitasking machines, without requiring CNC programmers in the field to lose long hours to a complex and costly implementation process.

ESPRIT now delivers pre-configured and factory-tested solutions for programming multitasking machine tools from Mori Seiki, Nakamura-Tome, Citizen, EMCO Maier and Mazak.

With traditional mills and lathes, configuring the CAM software - writing and testing the posts and defining the machine tool's physical configuration and coordinate systems - was within the scope of ability of the average reseller and CNC programmer, and CAM software was largely configured in the field. With the new class of multitasking machine tools, the old approach of conducting the configuration in the field is no longer viable - as CNC programmers who have lost weeks of valuable machine time have discovered.

The need for post processor writing and machine definition is eliminated in ESPRIT's pre-packaged solution. Competitive products require end-users to build posts and complete the machine definition, formerly routine programming steps that have increased exponentially in complexity with the multitasking machine tool generation. This sophisticated and complex class of multitasking machines demands a new approach to CNC programming, and end-users benefit from a complete pre-configured software such as ESPRIT, which is developed in cooperation with the machine tool builders and tested extensively at the factory level.

DP Technology ( http://www.dptechnology.com ) has the in-house experience, skill level, and extensive resources required to provide software solutions for multitasking machine tools that would be difficult and expensive for an end-user or reseller to develop.

ESPRIT is a whole-product software solution, and to ensure the buyer realizes a rapid return on investment - on both the ESPRIT software and the multitasking machine tool being programmed - ESPRIT also provides comprehensive documentation, end-user training, and technical support. Prior to cutting parts, ESPRIT's real-time simulation performs comprehensive verification of complex machining processes without taking machines off-line for expensive dry runs.

ESPRIT's pre-packaged CAM software for programming multitasking machine tools is now cutting parts in the field and making the rapid deployment of these revolutionary machines a reality.
