SSA Global Forms Strategic Solutions Team to Deliver the Extended Enterprise
SSA GlobalT announced the formation of a dedicated Strategic Solutions team comprised of industry experts solely focused on providing, servicing and implementing strategic extended enterprise solutions for current and prospective SSA Global customers.
SSA Global doubled its market share in 2003 and at the same time selectively integrated best-of-breed solutions into its portfolio. The newly formed Strategic Solutions team brings necessary focus to the extended enterprise, enabling customers to improve operational efficiencies, drive time to market, optimize costs and increase overall productivity. This team works in concert with SSA Global's account management to reinforce customer engagements that include extension solutions.
SSA Global's Strategic Solutions team will focus on the following solutions:
• SSA Corporate Performance Management, including Enterprise Planning, Enterprise Scorecarding and Enterprise Business Intelligence
• SSA Supply Chain Management, including Supply Chain Planning, Supply Chain Collaboration and Supply Chain Execution
• SSA Customer Relationship Management, including Sales Management, Marketing Management, Enterprise Service Management and Collaborative Order Management
• SSA Product Lifecycle Management
• SSA Supplier Relationship Management

Jim Handy has been appointed president of SSA Global Strategic Solutions, reporting to Cooksley. Handy joined SSA Global last year and was instrumental in the company's integration of Baan in North America. Then he greatly contributed to SSA Global's successful merger with EXE Technologies, Inc. Prior to joining SSA Global, Handy served as senior vice president for Geac Enterprise Solutions where he had global profit and loss responsibilities for the SmartStream and Enterprise ERP businesses.
