TAIYO YUDEN Announces Free High-Frequency Component Sample Kit Complete with Ansoft Designer SV Software & RF Component Library

TAIYO YUDEN (U.S.A.) INC. introduces its new high-frequency designer's kit that is bundled with a copy of Ansoft ( http://www.ansoft.com ) Designer SV design simulation software and the company's RF Component Library containing enhanced high-frequency performance data for use in circuit simulations. The new sample kit is being offered free to qualified designers attending the IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium 2004 in Ft. Worth, Texas, from June 8 through June 10. TAIYO YUDEN will be exhibiting as a Device Partner with Ansoft Corp. (Booth 1429) and will be accepting requests for its new free sample kit from attendees. Sample kits may also be requested at http://www.t-yuden.com

TAIYO YUDEN developed its RF Component Library in partnership with Ansoft Corp. for use with Ansoft Designer, a fully integrated circuit, system and electromagnetic field simulator. The sample kit provides an assortment of capacitors, ferrite beads and multilayer inductors that are included on the accompanying RF Component Library CD. Utilizing enhanced accuracy S-parameters, the RF Component Library data produces extremely narrow deviations between simulated data and actual measurements in high-frequency circuit design.

"The proprietary frequency development equivalent circuit data provided in our RF Component Library allows simulations to be performed up to four times faster," said Toshi Wantanabe, VP & general manager of TAIYO YUDEN (U.S.A.) INC. "In addition, the accuracy of these simulations reduces unnecessary prototype cycles and speeds time-to-market."

Now in its 54th year, Tokyo-based TAIYO YUDEN CO. LTD. is a worldwide manufacturer of surface-mount and leaded passive components, Bluetooth modules, power electronics modules, power supplies and recordable digital media. With approximately 50% of the worldwide market in high-frequency multilayer chip inductors used in cellular phone applications, the company reports annual sales of nearly US$1.6B. Worldwide, TAIYO YUDEN employs more than 15,000 people, and the company's North American affiliate, TAIYO YUDEN (U.S.A.) INC., operates sales and engineering offices in: Chicago; Raleigh, N.C.; Irving, Texas; San Jose, Calif.; and San Diego County.
