IronCAD Helps Design Europe's Fastest Top Methanol Funny Car
IronCAD announced their continued sponsorship of leading European Top Methanol Funny Car drag racing team Leanders Bros out of Alfta, Sweden. For the second straight year IronCAD is the major sponsor for Leanders Bros. Since 2000 Leander Bros. has been a top competitor in the European Drag Racing Championship circuit. In 2003 they smashed the European record in their class with an amazing time of 5.666 seconds to cover the quarter mile track. For the 2004 season they will continue to use a 3,500 horsepower Top Methanol Funny Car and are expected to once again make a major impact on the racing circuit this year.
Ulf Leanders of Leanders Bros comments, "We started using IronCAD in 2003, implementation was very fast and efficient. Because of this we are planning on expanding IronCAD's role in the design of our racing machines and integrating CAM software and NC machinery. Based in Alfta, Sweden, Leanders Bros Drag Racing has been competing since 2000. In their first year of racing they finished 3rd out of 10 competitors, in 2001 they finished 2nd out of 11.
