Paragon Announces Integration of Nassda HSIM with Paragon's IC Design Platform
Paragon IC Solutions Inc. announced the integration of Nassda Corp.'s HSIM hierarchical circuit simulator with Paragon's advanced Schematic Editor (SE) solution for the enhanced verification of complex analog and mixed-signal Integrated Circuit designs. The integration allows joint customers to use HSIM within Paragon's SE environment.

HSIM provides detailed circuit-level simulation of timing and power behavior and signal integrity effects. Used by over 240 companies, including the top 25 semiconductor companies, it enables first-silicon success and improved product quality and production yield. As part of the HSIMplus verification platform, it solves the critical issue of analyzing circuit behavior while taking into account the electrical and parasitic effects of nanometer-scale silicon. HSIM is ideal for demanding analog, memory, mixed-signal and system-on-chip designs.
SE, one component of Paragon complete full custom design platform, is a state-of-the-art Circuit Design Software that provides advanced capabilities for the design of complex AMS/RF IC circuits. Its advanced capabilities for "parasitic aware" designing solves the critical issues associated with electrical and parasitic effects on circuit behavior. Paragon's entire flow is suited for full custom design of analog, mixed-signal and system-on-chip ICs.
SE currently supports the use of HSIM. Advanced integration with Nassda's HSIM is expected to be available in the fourth quarter of calendar 2004 as an option to SE. HSIM is available from Nassda Corp.
