2004 PTC/USER World Event-Americas Attracts Attendees From More Than 20 Countries Around the Globe

PTC and PTC/USER, an independent, not-for-profit corporation organized by PTC users, announced that the annual PTC/USER World Event-Americas, taking place June 13-16 in Nashville, will host customers from more than 20 countries around the world. The event will feature more than 80 technical and business seminars, tutorials and demonstrations presented by expert PTC users, partners and PTC staff. Highlights include a keynote session presented by David Holden, team engineer with NASCAR's legendary Richard Childress Racing and an exhibit hall with more than 90 demonstrations of the latest tools and technologies from Industry Partners such as Adobe Systems, HP, IBM, Intel, and Sun Microsystems.

At the event, PTC will provide corporate and technology updates from President and CEO Dick Harrison and Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer Jim Heppelmann. PTC will also announce the winners of the 12th annual PTC Design Awards Competition and annual Global Alliance Partner Award.

With adoption of PTC's Product Development System (PDS) continuing to grow, this year's event will provide users an opportunity to participate in hands-on training and best practices sessions focused on key PTC solutions, including the newest versions of PTC's design software, Pro/ENGINEER WildfireT 2.0, and new collaboration and control solution Windchill® 7.0. Pro/ENGINEER WildfireT has achieved record customer adoption of an estimated 52% percent since its introduction in February 2003. PTC has also achieved success with Windchill® 7.0, growing the Windchill customer base by almost 15% in just six months since its introduction.
