Gerber Technology Appoints Marketing Director for Asia
Gerber Technology ( http://www.gerbertechnology.com ) announced the appointment of Rachel Ho as Marketing Director, Asia. She will be responsible for formulating and directing regional marketing activities and strategies, developing marketing budgets, supervising media relations and implementing regional events. Rachel will be based at Gerber Technology's Asian headquarters in Hong Kong.
Rachel holds a Master's of Business Administration from The City University of Hong Kong. Most recently, she was employed as the Asian Marketing Manager for Warner Bros. (Far East) Inc. of the AOL Time Warner Group. Prior to that Rachel was the Marketing Communications and Business Development Manager at Automated Systems Ltd., a publicly-listed systems integrator in Hong Kong.
James Arthurs, President of Gerber Technology commented, "We are increasing our investment in Asia substantially, particularly in the growth countries of India, Vietnam and China, to support those markets as they strive to keep up with rapidly increasing domestic and export apparel demands." The company plans to increase its engineering, marketing, sales and support personnel in Greater China alone from 130 to 180 this year.
