Major US-Based Oil and Gas Company Selects IMPRESS Software

IMPRESS Software announced the signing of a new contract with a major US-based oil and gas company. Initial contract value exceeds $700,000, with an overall potential value of $1.5M over the next year.

The company, one of the top ten oil and gas conglomerates worldwide, will use IMPRESS Project I.AppT to connect Primavera and MS Project Server to mySAPT Product Lifecycle Management applications. Project I.App will be used as an integral part of the company's Product Lifecycle Management global initiative, supporting multiple functions and processes throughout the organization, including major outages of production facilities and refineries, daily routine maintenance operations, and oil and gas exploration projects.

"Companies that run project-intensive operations now realize that integration of disparate project management systems is no longer a choice, but rather a must," commented on the contract Omri Dotan, President of IMPRESS Software. "The cost and the risks associated with ineffective project management, resulting from unsynchronized view of critical project status across multiple systems, can be overwhelming, the financial ramifications massive."

"Working with leading global organizations in the oil and gas and other project-oriented industries," added Mr. Dotan, "IMPRESS has proven it has both the technology and the know-how to help these companies implement best practices in order to increase operational efficiencies and mitigate the risks of project mismanagement."

Project I.App is a pre-packaged, out-of-the-box Integration Application that links SAP® with major project scheduling and management products, such as Primavera, Microsoft Project, and TrackSoftware.NET. Project I.App was jointly developed by SAP and IMPRESS and is supported through SAP OSS.

Project I.App integrates the business processes of project planning and ERP that would otherwise run independently of each other. Ensuring project data is consistent across all systems at all times, Project I.App eliminates the need for duplicate data entry and the risk of mismatched schedules and resources. Accessible via a standard web interface, Project I.App includes a set-up wizard that is easy to use and administer and requires no programming knowledge.
