Red Cedar Licenses EnSight Data Readers to Speed Design Optimization Within HEEDS

Red Cedar Technology has licensed CEI's EnSight data readers to further speed design optimization in its HEEDS software.

HEEDS (Hierarchical Evolutionary Engineering Design System) allows engineers to automatically and concurrently explore hundreds of design parameters and their relationships in product and process design scenarios. CEI's EnSight visualization software provides data readers for the world's leading CAE programs.

EnSight readers will allow HEEDS users to separate native output files from CAE codes and then extract the data needed to optimize a particular design.

"Our use of the EnSight readers within HEEDS will simplify and improve the process of defining and executing a design optimization or exploration study," says Ron Averill, president of Red Cedar Technology. "This will help our users quickly determine how good a particular design is-whether, for example, it meets the desired targets or satisfies constraints."

Red Cedar Technology ( http://www.redcedartech.com/ ) develops and delivers engineering technology, software and services that accelerate product design exploration and optimization. The company is based in East Lansing, Michigan, and has marketing and sales offices in Silicon Valley, Michigan and Europe.

CEI offers tools and services for engineering and scientific visualization, from meshing to plotting to animations that can be run on the most advanced VR displays. The company has corporate headquarters in Apex, N.C., and authorized distributors around the world.
