Kaledo Asset Manager Adds a New Dimension to Lectra's Design Offering

Lectra has unveiled Kaledo Asset Manager, its new software exclusively dedicated to storing and consulting existing textile designs. Kaledo Asset Manager is the answer to the designers' need to capitalize on their accumulated designs, enabling them to create new ones or new colorways from existing models.

With twenty years experience in the world of design, Lectra is the world number one in CAD/CAM software and equipment; Lectra equips one design station in two worldwide.

Kaledo Asset Manager helps firms fully leverage their assets by easing the task of searching through smart libraries for existing textile designs. Increasingly, developing new models implies adapting old ones to today's fashions. Kaledo Asset Manager facilitates, speeds and optimizes their repeated use, says Jean-Christophe Pochet, Product Manager for Design at Lectra.

Using Kaledo Asset Manager cuts the cost of purchasing new textile designs. Each new collection enriches the design studio's existing library, reducing designer's reliance on outside data.

Intelligent management of the firm's assets unleashes creative power for designers using U4ia or PrimaVision, Lectra's textile design software, and Kaledo Style, the apparel and collection design solution.

Users can search for files by selecting criteria by type of design, fabric, embroidered motifs, or accessories, etc.

Kaledo Asset Manager stores and classifies colorways also. They can be easily linked to models, then consulted and recycled.

Kaledo Asset Manager is compatible with all standard file formats (GIF, JPEG, TIFF, Bitmap, etc.).

Kaledo Asset Manager is shipped with a predefined file tree, which can be personalized to suit the user's needs.

Kaledo Asset Manager is a major new addition to Lectra's line of products and services for the textile and apparel market.

Lectra is present on all major markets, including fashion, apparel and retailing, luggage & leather goods, footwear, furniture & furnishings, transportation (the automotive, aerospace and marine industries), together with other industries working with industrial fabrics and composite materials. Due to its recent acquisition of Investronica Sistemas, Lectra has strengthened its number one position, with 2003 combined revenues for the two companies of US$ 270 million, exceeding by 80% the second player's revenues.
