Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems Expands Commitment to NXT Digital Simulation Offerings from UGS
UGS announced that Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems has added to its current NXT portfolio of design and digital simulation solutions with new seats of NX Nastran, NX TMG Thermal Analysis (I-deas® NX Series) and Femap®-marking the second major purchase of NX Nastran licenses made by Raytheon within the past six months.
The agreement calls for the deployment of NX digital product development solutions across multiple Raytheon programs. Raytheon is an industry leader in defense and government electronics, space, information technology, technical services and business aviation and special mission aircraft.
As a part of this agreement, UGS ( http://www.ugs.com/ ) and its partner, Maya Heat Transfer Technologies, are developing customized advanced thermal analysis software based on the NX digital simulation solutions in use at Raytheon. The customization of the software addresses the specific needs of Raytheon to simulate and validate the structural thermal, optical, and laser performance of advanced high energy laser systems.
