Altair Engineering Announces 2nd Annual Optimization Technology Conference and Call For Presentations

Altair Engineering Inc. will host its 2nd Annual Optimization Technology Conference (OTC04) on September 23rd, 2004 at the MSU Management Education Center in Troy, Michigan. Leading manufacturers will present applications, techniques and strategies in structural optimization and CAE-based design methods to improve product design performance and reliability. Sponsored in part by technology partner HP, this complimentary conference is open to Altair's valued clients and broad industry engineering professionals and product manufacturers.

Last year's inaugural Optimization Technology Conference brought together over 200 engineering professionals who benefited from engaging case history presentations that focused innovative applications of optimization methods and technology for improved product design and development. Presenters included distinguished thought leaders from a broad range of companies including Alcoa, ArvinMeritor, Caterpillar, DaimlerChrysler, Dofasco, EWI, Ford, GM, Honda R&D Americas, Robert Bosch Corporation, and conference hosts Altair Engineering and HP.

Attendees can expect the same level of quality in information and client presentations at the 2004 conference, according to Jeff Brennan, vice president of Commercial Software at Altair. "The 2nd Annual Optimization Technology Conference," he says, "offers attendees an opportunity to see how leading companies have applied best practices to improve design performance and save weight, time and money in product development."

Altair is now accepting abstracts for client presentations through July 30th, 2004. Presentation abstracts can be submitted online at http://www.altair.com/OTC2004 or by e-mailing OTC2004@altair.com To register to attend this free conference and for conference details please visit http://www.altair.com/OTC2004
