UGS and INCAT Launch New Teamcenter®-based Multi-CAD Solution

UGS ( http://www.ugs.com ) and INCAT, a professional services company focused on product and information lifecycle management, announced a new a Teamcenter®-based solution for multi-computer-aided-design (CAD) engineering process management. The offering, called "INCAT Multi-CAD Express," combines the consulting expertise of INCAT with Teamcenter.

Teamcenter unifies designs from diverse CAD systems into a single, manageable system, focused on improving engineering process management. Teamcenter's CAD data management capability not only manages UGS' own products such as Unigraphics® NX, I-deas® NX Series and Solid Edge®, but it also extends full support for CATIA® V4 and V5, Pro/Engineer®, SolidWorks®, AutoCAD® and Inventor® Series. Beyond CAD file management, Teamcenter integrates visualization technology to support multi-CAD engineering collaboration across diverse CAD authoring environments.

"We're pleased with this next step in our partnership with INCAT. They have the consulting expertise to deliver our best-in-class engineering process management software," said Steve Bashada, vice president of Teamcenter Applications, UGS. "The INCAT Multi-CAD Express package combines the power of Teamcenter with INCAT's multi-CAD implementation services to ensure rapid deployment and immediate productivity for customers."

INCAT Multi-CAD Express is ideal for organizations that:
