UGS and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Form Strategic Partnership to Optimize and Expand Delivery of Comprehensive Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Solutions
UGS ( http://www.ugs.com ) and India's Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global services organization in consulting, IT services, engineering and industrial services, asset based solutions, business process outsourcing, and IT infrastructure, announced that TCS has joined the UGS Partner Program as a Strategic Partner. This new agreement, which builds on the longstanding relationship between the two companies, defines a more closely aligned marketing and delivery strategy enabling further leverage of TCS' global presence and multi-industry expertise across UGS' entire PLM product line.
"Our relationship with TCS started more that 15 years ago, and has consistently grown every year to address multiple disciplines including global product development, marketing, sales and services," said Raj Khoshoo, UGS vice president of Strategic Initiatives. "Today's strategic partnership agreement represents the next evolutionary step in that relationship and will significantly enhance the ability of both our organizations to deliver world-class PLM products and services worldwide to traditional manufacturers as well as vertical industries such as healthcare and retail."
Today's announcement establishes TCS as a UGS Strategic Partner, the highest level of alignment under the recently redesigned UGS Partner Program announced on May 17. Under the terms of this agreement the two companies will work to create focused solutions based on UGS software products in key vertical markets such as healthcare, retail and manufacturing. The relationship will help UGS increase its opportunities to reach new markets and grow market share for its PLM products while TCS will enhance its delivery capabilities associated with several UGS products.
TCS now offers its consulting and implementation services along with sales and marketing support across UGS' entire PLM product line including Teamcenter®, NXT, and E-factoryT - a comprehensive suite of software applications for digital manufacturing management and simulation. UGS customers can leverage TCS' expertise in a variety of areas including PLM services, knowledge-based engineering, product design and reengineering and NX migration services.
