Autodesk Expands Operations to Support Growing Customer Base in Russia and Surrounding Areas

Autodesk, Inc. ( http://www.autodesk.com ) continues to expand into new markets by opening an office in Moscow this summer. The office will bring Autodesk closer to its growing number of customers in the region.

Thousands of customers in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus, and other neighboring countries already use the latest Autodesk products including AutoCAD®, Autodesk Inventor® Series, Autodesk® Land Desktop, and Autodesk® Architectural Desktop software. Autodesk has been supporting these customers, including major industry players such as Uralmashzavod, RusPromAvto, Mosprojekt-2, and Gazprom with the help of a strong local sales channel consisting of two major distributors and about fifty resellers around the region. A local office in Moscow is the company's next step in a long-term investment in the region, and commitment to its channel and customers.

"An Autodesk office in Moscow will help us to further improve our skills and strengths to better serve our common customers," said Valery Loktev of EMT, an Autodesk system center in Moscow. "Having Autodesk local will allow us to communicate faster, and will give Autodesk a better understanding of our region, better enabling them to help us drive focused local programs."

"Building an office close to us shows us that Autodesk is committed to our business and our unique needs," said Michael Posokhin, a general director of MOSPROJEKT-2, a construction planning organization now using more than 250 seats of Autodesk Architectural Desktop. "This move brings us more confidence in our long-term relationship with Autodesk."
