Timex Selects Framework Technologies' ActiveProduct Solution to Manage Worldwide Product Development

Framework Technologies announced that Timex Corporation will expand its use of Framework's ActiveProductT solution from select North American locations to its worldwide product development organization.

ActiveProduct enables Timex to align its strategic corporate objectives with the project selection process, ensuring that each project matches company goals. ActiveProduct is being expanded globally, enabling marketing, design and development teams to deliver the best possible selection of fashion and high tech products to meet the diverse needs of a worldwide consumer market.

"By bridging the gap between strategic corporate priorities and product selection, Framework is helping Timex increase product introduction success rates while compressing the product development process," said James Jackson, engineering systems manager at Timex. "ActiveProduct is a unique solution that recognizes the critical nature of project selection within the manufacturing process."

Through its use of ActiveProduct, Timex has seen an increase in communication between disparate groups involved in the product design and development process. Projects managed by ActiveProduct have experienced a significant reduction in delays, in addition to improved designs and quality.

ActiveProduct supports the flow of critical information between all levels of the organization-from the highest-level executive to each individual team member --fostering collaboration and highly informed decision-making throughout the project life cycle.

Celebrating its 150th Anniversary in 2004, Timex is America's largest and best-known watchmaker. With more than 450 styles among its Fashion, Sports, Outdoor and Youth collections, Timex makes a watch for everybody and every lifestyle. Timex is headquartered in Middlebury, Connecticut

ActiveProduct, Framework's solution for the manufacturing industry, focuses on the early phase of the product lifecycle, from ideation to market introduction, and helps Fortune 1000 manufacturers like BorgWarner, Coleman, Moen, INTERMET and Timex, select the right projects and execute those projects right.
