Product Sight Lifecycle Environment Certified by the Institute of Configuration Management
Product Sight has become the first new vendor to meet the stringent upgraded requirements for certification by The Institute of Configuration Management (ICM). The Product Sight Lifecycle EnvironmentT Pipeline and Build application modules are now CMII-certified software tools.
Product Sight Lifecycle Environment (PSLE) offers configuration management tools provided by its Pipeline and Build modules. These modules deliver best practice based product specification processes, manage engineering change, and other action requests, so that manufacturers eliminate the backlogs and delays caused when geographically distributed operations are launched without the tools and technologies to support them.
Configuration management (CM) is the process of managing products, facilities, and processes by managing the design specifications that define them and by tracking changes over time. CMII certification expands the scope of CM beyond design definition to include any information that can impact safety, quality, schedules, costs, profit or the environment. In addition, CMII incorporates proven processes that include best management practices for change; reuse of standards; ensuring that all requirements are clear, concise and valid; communicating this information promptly and accurately; and that results conform to defined specifications.
