Uhlmann-Pac Systeme Adopts OneSpace.net

CoCreate Software GmbH & Co. KG announced that Uhlmann-Pac Systeme has adopted CoCreate's OneSpace.net.

Uhlmann-Pac Systeme GmbH & Co KG, a leader in pharmaceutical packaging, chose the collaboration tool to help manage the complexity caused by outsourcing. "It was obvious that we weren't as productive as we could be," said Gebhard Klinger, IT-system administrator at Uhlmann-Pac Systeme. "We were saving substantial money on product development by outsourcing our design work, but the unique problems that came with working with outsourcers sometimes ate away at those savings."

Klinger cited problems like misunderstandings. "People in different locations often tried to work together on a project, but often they found themselves working with different versions of files."

OneSpace.net, CoCreate's project data management and team collaboration tool, solved these issues by being a central repository for project related data. "We can set up projects in project workspace and keep documents, drawings, models and other information online where it can be stored and retrieved quickly," said Klinger. "This way, we can reduce misunderstandings drastically."

Uhlmann-Pac Systeme also uses OneSpace.net's meeting center to share their software over the Internet. "The meeting center is an ideal platform to communicate all types of data," said Klinger. "Not just drawings and models. We can also use it for sharing Excel spreadsheets, html files and more."

"Without a tool to manage the complexity of working with outsourcers, it was clear we were not as productive as we could be," said Klinger. "Thanks to OneSpace.net we can now effectively manage the complexity of working with outsourcers."
