Intergraph Solutions Group Awarded Contract from the United States Navy Worth up to $45 Million
Intergraph Solutions Group (ISG), a division of Intergraph Corporation , announced their award of the NAVSEA II contract, a follow-on to the NAVSEA CAD-2 contract awarded to Intergraph in 1991 from the United States Navy. Awarded to ISG on June 30, 2004, the contract is an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract for engineering hardware systems, supplies and related support services, software, maintenance and training in support of various NAVSEA computer-aided-design (CAD) projects. This contract contains (four yearly) options, which if exercised, would bring the total estimated cumulative value of the contract to $45 million. Seventy percent of the work will be performed in Huntsville, Alabama and 30 percent of the work will be performed in various government/contractor sites. The first year of the NAVSEA II contract will be completed on 30 September 2004. The contract, awarded and administered by the Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP) in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, supports Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) programs, the Navy's SmartShip program and major Naval shipyards, several U.S. Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) programs and numerous programs at Warner Robins AFB.
Partnering with Intergraph on the NAVSEA II contract are several third party vendors who will provide products, training and services. These third party vendors include UGS Product Lifecycle Management, Striker Systems, Hewlett-Packard (HP), MEP Management Services, Inc. and Optiprise.
