SprutCAM Brings CNC Milling Capabilities to SolidWorks 2005 Software

SPRUT Technology, Inc announced that its SprutCAM software supports SolidWorks® 2005 3D mechanical design software. Engineers and designers use SprutCAM and SolidWorks to provide better programming efficiency, easier CAM organization, and superior tool path quality so they can design better products faster and more accurately, speeding time to market.

A SolidWorks Solution Partner Product, SprutCAM allows users to add directly to the SolidWorks button. When the add-in is selected, the current SolidWorks part is opened directly in SprutCAM. The user can then immediately update existing toolpaths for the part, or easily select an entire set of operations from a similar part to apply to the CAD model.

SprutCAM allows users to directly open a model in SprutCAM while in a SolidWorks session. The user can continue to design the model and then update and apply existing toolpaths without switching from one application to another. This associativity provides better machining efficiency, easier CAM organization, and superior toolpath quality.

SPRUT Technology, Inc. is dynamically developing company in the area of software applications in Russia. Founded in1987, SPRUT is a team of qualified engineers: mathematicians, programmers and processing engineers. Their flagship product is SprutCAM. SprutCAM provides full range of automated functions to simplify and speed up machining operations for 2, 2.5, 3, 4 and 5-axis for CNC milling that equals or surpasses high-end systems.
